January Wrap-up.

Sharing is caring.

These are just some random thoughts I had as I wrap up the first month of daily artmakin’.

First, thank you to all of you that have followed me, commented, liked, reblogged, shared, pinned, tweeted, or looked at any of my stuff. It means a lot. It really does.

Second, it’s getting easier, not harder. When I first started this it was a bit of a struggle to make a piece each day. But after doing it for about two weeks I got into a sort of rhythm and it became a natural event for me. It’s sort of like working out, from what I’m told. Maybe tomorrow I’ll try doing a push up.

Third, I’m trying not to get in my own way. If I have an idea, no matter how stupid it may seem, I make a quick note or sketch of it. Some of the ideas may be a bit idiotic, a tad trite, and a whole lot of random. I try not to let any of those things stop me. That’s one of the reasons why the pieces have been all over the map, subject wise. At this point, I don’t really care about that, though. I might eventually have a grand theme and try and work through said theme with a long series of work. I might not. I think sometimes it’s okay just to have fun and experiment.

Finally, for those that are interested, I am going to be selling these pieces. I’m in the process of setting up a shopping cart site. It will (should) go live on facebook tomorrow, February 1, 2013. I am going to try and keep the prices of everything pretty reasonable. The first month o’ stuff is going to go on sale all at once. From there on out I will be adding each daily piece to the shop the same day I produce it.

Thanks again for taking the time out of your busy schedule to look at these random little scribbles of mine. It means a lot.

p.s. Today’s art will be up in a little while. I’ve got to shower and get some coffee first.
